March 2008- This past weekend was one of the most interesting weather weekends the Metro Atlanta area has ever experienced. Friday evening about 10:00 a tornado touched down in downtown Atlanta. Extensive damage was done to the Georgia Dome, the Georgia World Congress Center and various additional buildings throughout the area.
